“CROSSWATER”

Project “Crosswater” was awarded funding in the framework of the Hungary-Serbia IPA Cross-border Cooperation Program. Public Enterprise for City Construction and Development Novi Sad is the lead beneficiary, while Hungarian partners are ATI-VIZIG - Szeged Lower Tisza District Water Directorate and HOMOKKERT - Homokkert Micro Region Integration Non-profit Ltd. Project objective is improvement of technical equipment and information basis for prevention of floods and damage caused by overflow in economically and socially underprivileged regions threatened by water, for the purpose of expanding the capacities of responsible authorities and crossborder communication about prevention of damage from floods, inland water and drought. Efficient protection from natural disasters and search for new solutions will directly and indirectly (through support of stable and sustainable economic development) improve the living conditions of citizens. Total project value is €1,136,330.00, while project value referring to the Public Enterprise for City Construction and Development Novi Sad is €382,600. Project implementation start date is January 1st, 2013 and project duration is 18 months.
