EXCHANGE OF EXPERIENCE IN THE PROJECT IMPLEMENTATION WITHIN THE EXCHANGE 5 PROGRAMME

On the occasion of the completion of the project "Empowering Local Public Property Management Systems", implemented by the City of Novi Sad - City Administration for Property and Property Rights Relations in cooperation with the Municipalities of Apatin and Sremski Karlovci, Acting Deputy Head of the City Administration for Property and Property Rights Relations of the City of Novi Sad Vera Zorić held a meeting with Sekula Petrović, Head of the Municipal Administration of Beočin.

As the City of Novi Sad, the Municipality of Beočin in the past period has gained significant experience in implementing projects under the Exchange Programme with the aim of establishing more efficient property management. At the meeting, knowledge and experience that local self-governments as project coordinators gained during the implementation of these projects were exchanged. The current course of registration of public property rights, examples of good practice and challenges in this process that all local self-governments in the Republic of Serbia are facing were discussed.

The deadline for the completion of the project "Empowering Local Public Property Management Systems" is December 21st, 2020. It is implemented within the Exchange 5 Programme, funded by the European Union from the allocation for IPA 2014, and implemented by the Ministry of State Administration and Local Self-Government (MDULS) in cooperation with the Standing Conference of Towns and Municipalities (SCTM) as an implementing partner. The Contracting Authority for all grant scheme projects is the Ministry of Finance, i.e. the Sector for Contracting and Financing Programs from European Union Funds (CFCU).
