- It is my great pleasure that today we have an opportunity to attend the pinnacle of one great business venture which provided us with a new Univerexport supermarket at SPENS. This cooperation is mutually-beneficial, since Univerexport opened its doors for new consumers and expanded its sales network, while the Public Company Sports and Business Center "Vojvodina" is going to attract new leasees by increasing the number of people circulating within the premises of SPENS. This project is important for SPENS, since the revitalization of the southern section of the SPENS facility will solve the functional problems of the SPENS company, but also for 50 citizens of Novi Sad who will have a secure job with all the accompanying social and health benefits – said the Mayor, adding his content with new business policy and vision of the SPENS management, which is on the right track to return the company’s old glory.

President of the Univerexport Group, Vesna Vučurević, said that this significant business move is a result of excellent cooperation with the City and the SPENS management and that this is the 40^th Univerexport facility in the city. She emphasized that the company has been successfully operating for 24 years already and is ready for the arrival of foreign chains and multinational companies, since clear business policy and strategically planned investments make Univerexport highly competitive. The Manager of the Public Company Sports and Business Center "Vojvodina", Žarko Mićin, said that SPENS will again become a favorite gathering place for all the generations of the Novi Sad citizens and that they are dedicated to that goal, carefully planning investments. The Manager announced that the investment cycle is continuing and after the opening of this Univerexport supermarket, there will be an opening of a DM store, an installation of a new escalator and investment in the energy efficiency of the building, which will attract greater number of consumers and lessees.

In the modernly equiped facility in the south section of SPENS, at the official entrance number 4, on the area of over 1500 m², the consumers will receive service from 7 am to 10 pm. The buyers are offered a range of over 10.000 food and other products. The modern facility’s rich offer will also feature a cooked food section, always fresh fruits and vegetables, pools with live trout, sections with healthy and organic food, and on top of that there will be a large number of discounts and special offers.
