SECOND WORKSHOP HELD WITHIN THE PROJECT “EMPOWERING LOCAL PUBLIC PROPERTY MANAGEMENT SYSTEMS”

The second workshop on the topic of registration of public property rights within the Project "Empowering Local Public Property Management Systems", conducted by the City of Novi Sad - City Administration for Property and Property Rights Relations and the Municipalities of Apatin and Sremski Karlovci within the Exchange 5 program, was held is in Apatin.

The Project is implemented within the Exchange 5 Program, funded by the European Union from the allocation for IPA 2014, and implemented by the Ministry of State Administration and Local Self-Government (MDULS) in cooperation with the Standing Conference of Towns and Municipalities (SCTM) as an implementing partner. The Contracting Authority for all grant scheme projects is the Ministry of Finance, i.e. the Sector for Contracting and Financing Programs from the European Union Funds (CFCU).

The Project plans to improve the process of establishing public property rights on the utility infrastructure of the City of Novi Sad and the Municipalities of Apatin and Sremski Karlovci in order to create conditions for accelerated local economic development and bringing local self-governments closer to citizens and the economy.

In addition to the representatives of the Municipalities of Apatin and Sremski Karlovci, the City of Novi Sad, and the competent public utility companies, representatives of the Republic Geodetic Authority also participated in the workshop. The participants of the meeting discussed the procedures for the registration of the public property rights over utility infrastructure lines from the point of view of the realization of the upcoming project activities.

It is planned to hold a total of three workshops on the topic of exchange of knowledge and experiences in the course of registration of public property rights in partner local self-governments.

The project "Empowering Local Public Property Management Systems" is worth 242,860.18 euros, it started on 22nd December 2018 and lasts for 24 months.
